Japan - Hiroshima: School children come from around the country to place wreaths of folded cranes around the statue of Sadako, the A-bomb victim - Hiroshima: Peace Memorial Park, with the statue of Sadako, the little girl who died of leukemia, and who believed, that byfolding 1,000 origami cranes, her death can be prevented; she died just after the 954th crane.
